Become an expert in Industrial and Intellectual Property and learn to develop an Industrial Property strategy that integrates with a company’s overall business strategy, aimed at protecting intangible assets, fostering innovation, and, above all, strengthening its competitive position.

The program places special emphasis on competitive intelligence, leveraging PONS IP’s long-standing expertise as an international leader in IP for over 70 years. Target Audience
University Graduates
Graduates, with or without professional experience, who wish to specialize in patents, trademarks, innovation, technology, AI, competition, entertainment law, intellectual property, data protection, or cybersecurity.
University Graduates with Technical Degrees
Graduates in fields such as biology, technology, biochemistry, pharmacy or healthcare, engineering, or mathematics, who want to specialize in patents, AI, software, innovation, technology transfer, or R&D&I.
Students who have not yet completed their undergraduate studies may enroll in our master’s programs provided they only have their external internship and final degree project (TFG/TFM) remaining. In these cases, they can pursue the master’s degree concurrently with these courses, ensuring compatibility between both programs.
To formalize enrollment, they must submit:
- A certificate of enrollment confirming registration for the external internship and the final degree project (TFG/TFM).
- A signed declaration from the student committing to complete their undergraduate studies within the academic year in which they enroll in the master’s program.
This criterion allows students to complete their studies without interruption and guarantees compliance with the required academic standards.
Final-Year Students
Students in their final year who wish to pursue access plus specialization, or only a specialization in intellectual property—typically those with one or two subjects remaining.
Active professional with a minimum of five years of experience in the sector. Specifically, intellectual property agents and consultants, engineers, portfolio managers, academics and researchers, civil servants and examiners working in intellectual property offices, biologists, healthcare professionals, scientists, pharmacists, biochemists, and biotechnologists. This experience must be duly accredited through the submission of supporting documentation, such as employment contracts, letters of recommendation, professional certifications, or relevant projects in which the candidate has participated.
Non-graduated Professionals
Professionals with at least five years of experience i who want to gain access to a specialization, or focus solely on a specialization in intellectual property (usually with one subject left to complete).
Qualified professionals
Professionals working in law firms or technical fields who wish to update their skills or open a new business line in patents, trademarks, innovation, technology, AI, competition, entertainment law, data protection, or cybersecurity.
To guarantee the validity and relevance of qualifications obtained from international institutions, students admitted with a foreign degree must meet the following requirements:

- Certified copy of university degree.
- Official academic transcript detailing courses taken and grades.
- Official identification document.
- Official Translation
All documents must be translated into Spanish by a sworn translator if the original language is not Spanish.
Equivalency of Studies
- Comparison of curricula and study structures to verify compliance with the standards of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).
- Accreditation that the degree obtained grants access to higher education in the country of origin.
Validation Process
- Evaluation of academic record by the Admissions Committee.
- Confirmation of academic equivalency and its alignment with program requirements.
Deadlines: The verification process must be completed before the registration deadline. This procedure ensures that all students meet the necessary standards to make the most of the master’s academic content.

Academic Structure and Assessment
The master’s degree is organized into six modules, with the assessment methods for each module defined by their respective coordinators.
To obtain the degree, students must successfully complete all modules and submit a master’s thesis. The evaluation of completed academic internships will also be taken into consideration.
